Betty Crocker Gluten Free Products NEW!

Yes it's true. I was shopping just the other day and looking for something entirely different when the words 'Gluten Free' in big red letters caught my eye, mind you on the top shelf where really nobody looks unless of course you are 6ft 3inches tall like my husband is.

I stopped and turned and said out loud 'Wow' this is new. I bought 3 boxes of Betty Crocker mixes.

I bought the Chocolate Chip cookie mix which I have already made and consummed over the weekend. Plus my husband loved them too!

I have at the ready, Betty Crocker's Brownie mix whenever the urge hits me. And of course the Betty Crocker Chocolate Cake mix.

So I am ready for any occassion and I won't feel left out.

They should definitely be on your shopping list this week.

I understand that the Betty Crocker facilities have a dedicated kitchen to mix these products. Way to go Betty Crocker.

Let's hope some other major players in the industry take notice and follows the trail blazers at Betty Crocker.

The G-Free Diet Review

The G-Free Diet Review

The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide by Elisabeth Hasselbeck may resonate with many of you when she tells her story of her plight with an illness that she couldn’t figure out and neither could her doctors.

Sound familiar, well it sure does with me. It’s like you’re floating all alone in a sea of confusion just to find out that you are a ‘unique’ individual with ‘unique’ individual food needs.

As she states in her book, The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide, it wasn’t until she spent a great deal of time trying to survive on the TV show that she noticed her symptoms had vanished, by the way a great title because it is a journey of survival seeking out foods in every corner of every super market in every city.

I hunt and peck like a Secret Agent until I find a product which reads ‘Wheat-Free – Gluten-Free’ which is a great victory for me.

Vanishing symptoms is a great sign because it means you have eliminated the culprit in your diet, namely ‘gluten’. It’s a great feeling too, because you begin to feel normal again, more energy and possibly some weight loss.

In her book, she begins defining gluten and then helps you navigate where to find gluten free foods, how to read labels and she shares some of her favorite recipes.

If you have never read any books about gluten free living I have to say at least start with The G-Free Diet as a beginning point and then gravitate to other books with similar titles.

Everyone who has been diagnosed with Celiac disease should have a library full of books to help you along the way; this is just one of many books out there.

I hope this review has helped you and your journey to a gluten free life.
